Marketpath CMS images and documents, like javascript and stylesheets, are all accessed using the CDN.

Document Standard Fields

A Marketpath CMS Document contains the following default fields.

  • Internal Name
  • Title
  • Folder
  • Url
  • Has URL
  • Authors
  • Tags

Yes, you can create a page for a document and access its fields using the entity object reference.  A document page may be a gated form or perhaps a download page after a gated form is filled out. You may also want to add custom fields that help describe and promote the document on its own page.

Image Standard Fields

A Marketpath CMS Image contains the following default fields.

  • Internal Name
  • Title
  • Folder
  • Alt
  • Attribution
  • Url
  • Width
  • Height
  • Has URL
  • Authors
  • Tags

The Alt field is a default value that gets used anytime the image is inserted into an HTML field or custom field is used in a template.

Attribution is a text field that is typically used to keep track of an image's source, such as, a photographer's name, the image source URL, a purchase invoice ID.

Width and Height are both set automatically at the time the image is uploaded.

Images may also have their own page. You may want to do this if you are providing professional photography and want to show additional custom fields with details of the image, such as date and time, camera type, exposure settings, etc.

Replacing Images & Documents

When images and documents are replaced using the Replace method, several things take place. First, the actual image or document is replaced in the primary storage location. Then the CDN version of the document, or all variations of the image in the CDN, are purged. The CDN hosts millions of files so this process may take several minutes to purge all versions from each edge node.
