Welcome to the Marketpath CMS Packages Training Course! In this course we will cover topics necessary for you to gain a thorough understanding and appreciation for how packages work and how they can make your life easier.
This course builds on the information contained in the Editor Basic Training Course. If you have not already completed that course then you should do that first. Developers should also take the Developer Basic Training Course before taking this tutorial in order to have a thorough understanding of Marketpath CMS from both a marketer's and a developer's perpective.
We will start with a high-level overview of what packages are and how they are organized in the first module of this course. Then we will move on to how to install packages on your sites in the second module of this course. The third module will provide developers with directions and insights about how to create and manage packages. The fourth and final module of this course will provide additional best practices for how to get the most out of packages - both for yourself and for others who might manage your sites or use your packages.
While you can skip around the content of this course, later lessons will assume that you understand the concepts discussed in earlier courses. We have added a module at the end of this course specifically for best practices, so if you think you can figure the rest out, feel free to skip on over to the best practices.
We strongly encourage you to review the best practices before creating any packages - particularly if you want to share those packages with others.
