Use generative AI inside Marketpath CMS to draft and refine text, HTML, and images. Content is produced by third-party providers; quality and cost depend on the model you choose. Defaults work well for most tasks, and you can switch models or connect your own API key where supported.
To generate new content in the HTML Editor, click the AI toolbar button and the Generate Content Using AI dialog will open. It will automatically suggest a few ideas for you, such as "Write a blog post" and "Insert filler text". If you already have content in the HTML editor, it will also display a button to "Edit my existing content". Feel free to select one of these ideas and follow the next prompt, or to write your own prompt below. When you are satisfied with your prompt, click on the send button to submit your prompt to the AI service.

When content is ready, it appears at the top of the dialog. You can:

The original content of your HTML editor will not be changed until you click the Use Text toolbar button. At that point it will replace the text you had originally selected with the generated content (or all text if you clicked on the "Edit my existing content" button).
Also in the dialog:
To generate new images in Marketpath CMS, navigate to Content => Images, and then click the Generate with AI toolbar button. This will open a dialog similar to the HTML generation dialog described above. Alternatively, you may use AI to modify an existing image on your site by opening the image properties and clicking on the Edit with AI toolbar button.
Note that image generation can be slow, so you may need to be extra patient when waiting for a response. If you still have not gotten a response after 10 minutes you may need to open a new browser window and try again. Similar to the HTML generation dialog, if you close the dialog before doing anything with the result, there is no way to recover any of the generated images without contacting Marketpath support for assistance, and you will still be debited the total token cost for all submitted prompts.
After a new image is generated, it will be displayed at the top of the dialog and you will have two options:
Also in the image dialog:
Chat with AI from the sidebar. Chats belong to a site and use that site’s tokens. Other editors with access can view and continue the same thread. You can also open your own chats from other sites in the sidebar.
Click the AI sidebar tab, choose the model, response type, and a chat name, then enter your prompt and click the go button.

Once the chat has been started, simply enter a new prompt to continue chatting with AI. You can change the provider and model as well as the response type any time you want — even in the middle of your chat.

To view your chat history, click on the Chat History button in the top right of the sidebar. By default this will list your chats on this site, but you can quickly change it to list all chats on this site or your chats on all sites instead. From here you can continue, rename, or delete chats, although you can only rename and delete chats that you started. Also note that deleting chats does not negate the AI tokens used by the chat.

AI tokens represent the cost to generate content in Marketpath CMS. Every AI prompt requires one or more AI tokens. The exact number of tokens for each prompt depends on the model used, as well as the complexity of the prompt and the length of the content.
AI tokens are an important abstraction because they allow Marketpath to use the same pricing system for different providers, models, and types of content. They also make it possible to adjust our cost calculations over time while keeping customer costs predictable, even when the products and pricing from third-party providers change.
On-screen token counters in the editor, image, and chat UIs show session totals while you work to help you track your AI usage. AI tokens are always used in the context of a site and are limited by that sites's allowance, which is reset at the start of each billing period.
Every new and AI-enabled site has a specific number of AI tokens available. However, active sites that do not have an AI-enabled plan will be required to upgrade to an AI-enabled plan before they can use any AI tokens. Refer to the pricing page for specific details about which plans have AI enabled, how many tokens are included, and what the overages cost.
How AI tokens apply depends on your site status:
New sites receive a small number of free AI tokens during initial development, regardless of which plan they have selected. These tokens are only valid before the site is activated, and it is not possible to get more AI tokens without first activating the site. Once the site is activated, any remaining free tokens are removed and replaced with the number of tokens specified by the site’s plan.
Each AI-enabled plan includes a pre-specified number of free AI tokens each month. Unused tokens do not carry over to the next month. If you use all of your free AI tokens in a month, you have three options:
Once a user allows overages for AI tokens on a site, any user with editing access to the site may continue to use AI tokens on that site until the end of the current billing period. At the end of the billing period, the overage cost will be calculated based on the total number of AI tokens used that month and the overage costs specified in the plan.
Sites will not be charged overages unless an authorized user accepts the billing overages for that month. Once the next billing period starts, a user must accept the billing overages again to utilize more tokens than are included for free in the site’s plan.
Sites that have been activated but do not have an AI-enabled plan will not be able to use any AI tokens and will not be able to generate content with AI unless the site is upgraded to an AI-enabled plan.
Marketpath supports OpenAI, AI21 Labs (Jamba), and getimg.ai. Defaults: GPT 5.4 Mini (text/HTML/reasoning) and GPT Image 2 (images). Change provider or model in the editor, image dialog, or AI sidebar. BYO API keys are not billed as Marketpath tokens on your plan.
Every prompt costs at least 1 AI token. Length-based models cost more for longer input and output. In chats, prior messages are sent with each prompt, so cost can grow as the thread gets longer. Models marked with a ★ are primary recommendations for that provider.
Leading AI research company; public attention grew rapidly after ChatGPT launched in 2022 and OpenAI remains a top AI provider against which all other providers are compared.

Technology that creates new content from patterns in existing data—answers questions, drafts content, and supports simple editing tasks.
A trained system that generates or transforms content. Capabilities depend on its training data and design.
A company that hosts and maintains AI models (for example OpenAI or AI21 Labs), each with its own API and policies.
Marketpath’s billing unit for AI usage. Cost per prompt depends on the model and how much content is sent and returned. See the model cards under Providers and Models.
You have full rights to the AI-generated content and can use, modify, or discard it as you wish.
Plus and higher include AI; Standard can add AI for $10/month. See the pricing page.
Monthly token allowances reset each billing period. Example: 400 tokens might mean 400 one-token prompts or fewer, longer prompts on pricier models. See Tokens and Pricing.
Use or edit it freely; add your own expertise so pages stay useful and credible for readers and search engines.
Verify facts—AI can be wrong or outdated. Heavy unedited AI content may hurt SEO. Image prompts can raise copyright issues, especially when mimicking artists or copying sources..
Your needs determine the best AI model. Some models may be more up-to-date with better results, while others prioritize faster processing and lower costs. More information about AI models is available under Providers and Models.
Anyone with edit access when AI is enabled. Restrict editor access or contact support if you need tighter limits.
