This short release has a narrower focus than some of our recent releases, including only 4 major components:
- Combing Basic Pages and Articles. All former basic pages are now articles. This change is intended to simplify content management by managing both of these object types in one location
- Serving javascript and stylesheets from the CDN
- Allow site administrators to change SSL options for domains - making SSL certificates available for all domains without having to contact Marketpath directly
- Added user session tracking for the purposes of training and assisting users as well as tangibly improving the CMS
In addition, we included numerous bugfixes and minor UI improvements, including
- Bugfix: Copying items did not always do what you expected it to (eg: copying a template did not always copy the template fields properly. Also the default page was always wrong after copying an entity).
- Bugfix: An oversight in saving versions prevented users from being able to publish some objects
- Bugfix: Activity logs had very short descriptions and incorrect activity types
- Improvement: After creating a page, the object properties dialog is now closed after opening the page up in a new tab (preventing accidental overriding of data entered in another tab)
- Improvement: After copying an object, open the new object's properties in a sub-dialog
- Improvement: Better activity log description after copying child objects along with their parent object (eg: copying a datastore with multiple datastore items)
- Improvement: Better new user and update notification popups.
- + some other minor miscellaneous bugfixes and improvements
